Please introduce your company and give a brief about your role within the company?

Xonest is the global IT Consulting company that stands for progress. What was the idea behind starting this organisation?

I started 10 years back with a small team. The mission was to increase the team size and to take the company to the next level within a couple of years, and the vision was to capture the market and grow globally.
We are not money-centric and not think about grabbing as much possible from the clients, but we believe in providing the best possible solutions with the most economical cost by understanding the client’s actual needs and understanding his close competition.
The core idea/ motive is to deliver the best quality to our clients, satisfy their needs, deliver 100% value of their money and retain them.

What is your company’s business model–in house team or third party vendors/ outsourcing?

We have an in house team of experienced and skilled members — all Ninjas of their respective fields. We never do experiments on client projects by assigning freshers on the plans but we allocate the best resources to make sure that clients would never face any issue and would get the best quality work and fastest results.

How is your business model beneficial from a value addition perspective to the clients compared to other companies’ models?

What industries do you generally cater to? Are your customers repetitive?

We are E-commerce experts and love to take any medium to sophisticated level projects no matter the industry. I am glad to share that more than 70% of our business came from our existing clients, and the rest 30% includes new business. Clients love to work with us.

Mention the objectives or the parameters critical in determining the time frame of developing a web app.

In the case of the web apps, we have fixed parameters for designing part which depends upon how many pages need to be designed. This is the only phase where we have 100% dependency on our clients as we never move the front-end as well as back-end development until our client approves the designs.
Based upon the number of pages, we calculate front-end efforts and backend development efforts are depends upon our client’s functional requirements. The number of modules more will be the time required to finish the app.
On Top of all these, we add 20% time as testing efforts (20% of Front-end and Back-end development time).

How much effort in terms of time goes into developing the front end and back end of a web app?

On average, this is the %age of efforts a project take
– Website designing: 20% of total project time
– Front-end development: 20% of total project time
– Back-end development: 60% of the total project time
– QA & Testing: 20% of the 80% ( for cost calculation as this part runs simultaneously throughout the project)

What are the key parameters to be considered before selecting the right platform for a web application?

It all depends on our client’s needs and project type

Which platform and technologies do you prefer to use in the development of your web apps?

– Designing: Adobe Photoshop, XD, Sketch, InDesign most of the time.
– Front-end development: HTML5, CSS3, JS, AngularJS, ReactJS,BootStrap
– Back-end development: Core PHP and PHP based open-source/ frameworks like WordPress, Magento, Drupal, Joomla, Cake PHP, Codeignitor, Laravel, Symfony, Yii. Apart from it .Net, JAVA, RoR, Python and Angular JS
– Mobile App Development: Native (iOS, Android) and Hybrid apps

Do you offer website design templates or customized website design, and do you have a responsive website design?

It all depends upon the client’s needs any budget. We generally prefer to Custom design the websites based upon the type of business/ profession the client is into and the core competition. We are open to everything depending upon the client’s needs and budget.

Which Content Management System do you prefer to use (WordPress, Joomla, Drupal etc)?

Most of the time, clients demand WordPress, so we generally use this one but as we are having experts of all types, we are open to working on any opensource.

Do you provide website maintenance services?

Yes, initially we provide 30-60 days FREE post-project support (depending upon project size) and post that we provide the maintenance services by charging as low as US$10/ hour onward.

What are the key factors that you consider before deciding the cost of a web application?

What kind of payment structure do you follow to bill your clients? Is it Pay per Feature, Fixed Cost, Pay per Milestone (could be in phases, months, versions, etc.)

We have three engagement models:
– Fixed cost Model: Payment in this mode divided into milestones were for projects less than US$1000 we charge 50% upfront and 50% upon completion. For projects in between US$1001 to US$5000, we take 20% upfront, 40% on design and front-end development completion, and rest 40% on back-end development completion. For a project in range of US$5001 to US$10K, it’s 20% upfront, 30% on design and Front-end development, 25% middle development milestone and rest 25% on development completion. For projects over US$10001, it’s custom depending upon our client and our mutual agreement.
– Hourly Billing: It’s a prepaid hourly block system. Price starts as low as US$10/ hour onwards.
– Dedicated resource/ team engagement: In this model, our clients can hire a dedicated resource or team on a monthly retainer model. A client has full right to select their own resource by shortlisting resumes, taking telephonic/ face to face video call interview of the shortlisted candidate.

Do you take in projects which meet your basic budget requirement? If yes, what is the minimum requirement? If no, on what minimum budget you have worked for?

We don’t say NO to any client and help Start-ups in their growth by delivering them websites/ apps at a cost to company prices. We are open to work on any budget, so we don’t have any budget criteria.
Going online and multiplying revenues is everyone’s right and we are open to supporting everyone in their growth. We work on any budget (matching at least our cost) and recommend 100% to our clients.

What is the price range (min and max) of the projects that you catered to in 2021?

The price range of the projects that we have catered in 2021 was: US$500 – US$65K
